Mr Ng is the Founder, Chairman and Managing Director of UMC. Concurrently, he is holding the position as Chairman and Managing Director of Sin Thai Hin Holding, with businesses in the industries of healthcare, property development and investment, Shipbuilding and Automobile. From 1997-2006 he was also the chairman of Automobile Megamart Ltd, the biggest automobile hub in Singapore.

Mr Ng has always been very active in community work and philanthropy. Since 2002, he has been the Chairman of Hong Kah North Citizens Consultative Committee. In 2004, he was also made a councillor of South West Community Development Council. In 2006, Mr Ng was awarded the Public Service Medal (PBM) conferred by The President of Singapore in recognition for his service and contribution to the republic of Singapore.

Mr Ng completed the Executive Programme from the National University of Singapore Business School. He is also the Founder President and Advisor to the National University of Singapore Business School Mandarin Alumni.

Ms Lai is the Executive Director of UMC and oversees the Management, Operations and Business Development of the Medicare Centre. Coming from a background of Geriatic Care and Business Development, Ms Lai is instrumental in making UMC a home within a home. She brings significant experience in setting up a nursing home from scratch as well as a strong knowledge of healthcare management and operations.

Ms Lai holds a Masters Degree in Health Science (Gerontology) from the University of Sydney & SIM, Singapore, and is a registered nurse for more than 20 years.

Having more than 10 years of experience as registered nurse in critical nursing care (ICU), and more than 5 years in geriatric care, Ms Tan is a seasoned professional in the healthcare industry. She specializes in the management and care of critically ill post-operative and trauma patients, as well as dementia and depression in the elderly.

Ms Tan holds a Bachelor of Health Science (Nursing) and an Advanced Diploma in Nursing (Critical Care).
