United Medicare Centre is the first purpose-built 240-bedded private nursing home which was initiated by the Ministry of Health.

On 1 April 2003, UMC was accredited as an approved provider of subsidized nursing home by the Ministry of Health. In addition, it was also a certified and approved training centre by the Institute of Technical Education.

• Awarded Best Designed Nursing Home by the Urban Redevelopment Authority
   
• Ranked as one of the top private nursing homes in Singapore's healthcare industry
   
• Approved as a provider for the portable subsidy scheme by the Ministry of Health
   
• Certified as a Clinical Training Centre by the Singapore Nursing Board for training of nurses from
  the National University of Singapore, Ngee Ann Polytechnic and Institute of Technical Education
   
• Certified training centre by the Institute of Technical Education
   
• Certified in-house training centre by the Workforce Development Agency
