About WDA Workskills Qualification Community and Social Services (Senior Services)
Courses Available
Target Groups
- Existing aged care workers who wish to enhance their basic training in aged care
- New entrants in the aged care sectors who wish to pursue a career in the community and social services (Senior Services)
- Any caregiver who has to take care of their elderly at home.
- Professional bodies of homecare service providers
- VWOs in elderly care sectors who wish to upgrade their staff training and also employability under the SPUR initiative
- Other healthcare professionals who wish to equip their knowledge in caring for the elderly
- Foreigners who wish to seek training in aged care sector for own professional advancement.
(Note: Foreigners are not entitled to any funding under the WSQ/SPUR initiative)
Minimum Entry Requirements
To qualify, applicants must satisfy ALL of the following:
- Must be 18 years old and above;
- Must have at least a Primary Education or ESS WPL Level 4 qualification; and
- Must be able to read and write simple English.
What do the fees cover?
- Classroom training
- Workplace attachment for relevant practicum training at our UMC hospital facilities.
This covers workplace observation assessment and continuous assessment by workplace supervisors.
- Oral and simple written assessments.
- Statement of Attainment (if the trainee is certified as competent)
- Training notes contextualised to aged care training.
- Career advisory on career pathways that a trainee can explore after his/her training within the growing healthcare/aged care sector.

ACTA qualified trainers with professional healthcare background in aged care setting.

- After the successful assessment of each module and if the trainee is certified as competent,
a Statement of Attainment will be issued by United Medicare Pte Ltd. The WDA WSQ total framework is
highly modular and Statement of Attainments are highly portable to any new related WSQ setting for
continuous learning and also skills upgrading.
- We are also an ITE-certified On-the-Job training Centre for the ITE Skills Certification in
Healthcare (Home Care) and Rehabilitative Therapy.
